Registration is now open for the first edition of the International Composition Competition “Musica Oggi” organized and promoted by the Teatro Olimpico Orchestra in collaboration with the “Arrigo Pedrollo” Conservatory of Vicenza.
Reserved for composers under 35, the Competition aims to promote contemporary music and young talent through the creation and dissemination of new pieces for chamber ensemble.
To participate in the Competition, a score for ensemble chosen from the following instruments must be submitted by March 31, 2026: flute, clarinet in Bb, bassoon, horn in F, violin, viola. cello, double bass. The ensemble may consist of a minimum of three to a maximum of eight instruments, chosen from those listed. It is possible to submit previously performed or published works, as long as they have not been awarded in other competitions.
The Winner of the International Composition Competition “Musica Oggi” will receive the following prizes:
performance of the composition at the opening concert of the “Notturni” festival in Vicenza
cash prize of €2,000.00
Two other cash prizes will be awarded:
Second place: €1,000.00
Third place: €500.00
